MEET ROBERT MARK BURKE

Robert Mark Burke is a New York City- based performer, creator and teaching artist. As a performer, he has danced for Lucinda Childs Dance, Meagan Woods and Bryn Cohn + Artists and has been seen on the 30th Anniversary Tour of "Cats". He currently dances for Megan Williams Dance Projects and 10 Hairy Legs and has taught at studios and universities around the world. In 2015, he launched Robert Mark Dance as a way to continue his creative practice. His work has been seen across the United States including The Paramount Theater (Boston), New Jersey Performing Arts Center (Newark), Dixon Place, Rutgers University (New Brunswick) and The
Wild Project. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the NJPAC Emerging Choreographer Fellowship and the Dance on the Lawn Emerging Choreographer Award, under the direction of Charmaine Warren. In 2019, he was commissioned by Eryc Taylor Dance as part of the company’s EARTH series and in June 2020, will premiere a new commission on 10 Hairy Legs at New York Live Arts.
